Hey there people    you have seen that whiskered old bod who is me now endeavouring to get my act together to assist the 1 in 16 people that have or will have this debilitating problem of Dementia/Alzheimer's and from one who knows, what the poor caregiver and what he/she has to contend with and just what the wonderful people in the two organisations assist with and even more so, the great scientists and doctors who are striving to make the process much easier for the participants to handle.  in my struggle to get to grips with what was happening to my beautiful wife of some 60 od years there was not these people there to help and until I made the shift to a larger area I struggled to help in any consoling way and it took intervention of others to put me on the correct path for both of us, my Coll and I.  So, this is my reason for putting this coming up to 80yr old body on th dosh e line - not for recognition, just for help.  You probably won't even think about it, but it costs the scientist $1500 every time they want to scan a brain to learn just how they can find channels into that area of helpful knowledge to add a more acceptable insight to what is being contended with.   so this is why I am asking you all to go to our "Give a little" web page and drop just that little dosh towards both scientists and the wonderful band of caregiver helpers who form Dementia CanterburyYou will have got a view of the things I am up to in the video so from here on in its going to be what I am up to at my 3 or 4 a week visits to the gym   (Fit4Life) -  the groans and occasionally, the euphoria of those visits.   here then really starts my Blog.Yesterday, Monday.    yuck    2 hours.  Got through the muscle building stuff all good but, Oh, my 3 x 100m with 2 minute break left me back in the doldrums again.  Oh yes, gym instructor Angus says nice things to make me feel better but that is a long way off my 20.4secs to break the record.   mine were 24.2  23.2 and a real "get with it"  22.2.  -  long way off.   So that was Blog 1 I say no more!!!!
